Olive Garden Alfredo Fettuccine:

I tried copying the Alfredo sauce recipe from Olive Garden many times, but failed. I tried different cheeses, different butter, heavy cream, light cream, but never even came close. I searched everywhere for this recipe, but either came to dead ends or was asked to pay more than I thought the recipe was worth. After many searches, I finally found it. And to my surprise, the missing ingredient was cream cheese. Who would have thought to put cream cheese in Alfredo sauce. Obviously not me. Anyway here is the fantastic Alfredo Sauce recipe from Olive Garden:

1 8oz. pkg. Cream Cheese
1 8oz. carton heavy cream
1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
1 cube real butter
1/2 t garlic puree

In large saucepan combine cream cheese, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, butter, and garlic puree stirring constantly until smooth. For even better results, saute boneless chicken breast strips and dump them into the sauce. Pour sauce over pasta of your choice and enjoy. You can always go lite by using low-cal ingredients, but that just takes the fun out of it.
