Wendy's Chili

Wendy's Chili:

1 pound ground beef
1 - 14.5 Oz. can tomato sauce
1 - 14.5 Oz. can kidney beans (with liquid)
1 - 14.5 Oz. can pinto beans (with liquid)
1/2 cup diced onion
1/4 cup diced green chilies
1/4 cup diced celery
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
1 teaspoons cumin powder
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons salt
1 cup water


1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat; drain off the fat.
2. Using a fork, crumble the cooked beef into pea-size pieces.
3. In a large pot, combine the beef plus all the remaining ingredients,
and bring to a simmer over low heat. Cook, stirring every 15 minutes, for 2 to 3 hours.

Makes about 12 servings

Benihana's Hibachi Steak

Benihana's Hibachi Steak:

4 - 5 oz. Sirloin Steaks
4 tsp. Soybean Oil
8 large Mushrooms - Sliced thick
4 dashes Salt
4 dashes Black Pepper

Broil steak until rare (do not broil too much). Heat nonstick skillet and add oil to heated skillet. Place steak cubes in skillet with mushrooms and cook until done to taste. Season with salt and pepper if desired and serve hot. Dip steaks in Magic Mustard Sauce.

Red Lobster Shrimp Scampi:

1 C. White Wine
1/2 C. unsalted Butter do not use Margarine
3 Tbsp. minced Garlic
1 lb. Shrimp, peeled and deveined


Combine all ingredients and bake in a 350-degree oven for about 6 to 7 minutes.
Be careful not to overcook the Shrimp. The shrimp is done when it has turned pink

KFC Buttermilk Biscuits

KFC Buttermilk Biscuits:

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
2 1/2 TBSP granulated sugar
1 beaten egg
3/4 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup club soda
1 tsp salt
5 cups Bisquick biscuit mix


1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F

2. Combine all of the ingredients. Knead the dough by hand until smooth.

3. Flour your hands. Pat the dough flat to 3/4 inch thickness on waxed paper and punch out biscuits with a biscuit cutter.

4. Bake on a greased baking sheet for 12 minutes, or until golden brown. Makes 18 biscuits

Panda Express Mandarin Chicken

Panda Express Mandarin Chicken:

2/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon minced fresh garlic
1/2 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
1/4 cup water
4 teaspoons arrowroot
6 skinless chicken thigh fillets

1. Combine sugar, soy sauce, lemon juice, oil, garlic and ginger in a small saucepan. Combine water with arrowroot in asmall bowl and stir until arrowroot is dissolved. Add to saucepan and turn heat to high. Stir often while bringing mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 4 to 6 minutes or until sauce is thick.

2. Preheat your grill on high for the chicken.

3. When the grill is hot, rub each chicken piece with oil and cook the chicken for 4 to 6 minutes per side or until done. Chicken should have browned in spots.

4. When chicken is done, chop it into bite-size pieces. Pour the chicken pieces into a large frying pan over medium heat. Heat until chicken sizzles then reduce heat and cover chicken until ready to serve. Spoon chicken into a medium bowl, then pour all the sauce over the chicken and stir until well-coated. Serve with steamed white rice.

P.F.Chang's Lemon Pepper Shrimp

P.F.Chang's Lemon Pepper Shrimp:

1 dozen shrimp, peeled and cleaned

Cornstarch or potato starch
Canola oil for frying
Half a lemon, cut into thin slices
Assorted vegetables cut into thin strips

Black Pepper Sauce:

1 ounce table black pepper
1 ounce garlic
4 ounce tomato ketchup
2 ounce soy sauce
1 1/2 cup chicken stock
3 ounce sugar

1. Combine sauce ingredients and set aside.

2. Lightly coat shrimp with starch. Fry in 3 inches of oil until lightly browned. Make sure the oil is hot before you put the shrimp in. You can test the oil by dropping a piece of green onion into the oil. If the onion bubbles and rises to the surface, the oil is ready. After frying the shrimp, set them aside.

3. In a hot wok, stir fry your favorite vegetables in approximately a tablespoon of oil. Do not overcook. After the vegetables are heated, set them aside. In the same wok, stir fry the lemon pieces. When the lemon pieces are hot (about 2 minutes), add the shrimp back into the wok. Add as much of the pepper sauce to the shrimp as you like. Pour the shrimp, lemons and sauce over the vegetables. Servings: 4

Mrs. Fields Oatmeal Raisin Chews

Mrs. Fields Oatmeal Raisin Chews:

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup quick oats (not instant)
1 cup dark brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup salted butter, softened
2 Tbsp. honey
2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1 1/2 cups (8 oz.) raisins
1/2 cup (3 oz.) walnuts, chopped (optional)

Yield: 3 dozen without walnuts3 1/2 dozen with walnuts

1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. In a medium bowl combine flour, soda, salt and oats. Mix well with wire whisk and set aside.

2. In a large bowl blend sugars with electric mixer set at medium speed. Add butter and mix to form a grainy paste. Scrape down sides of bowl, then add honey, vanilla and eggs. Mix at medium speed until light and fluffy.

3. Add the flour mixture, raisins and walnuts, and blend at low speed just until combined. Do not overmix.

4. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets, 1 1/2 inches apart. Bake for 22-24 minutes or until cookies are light golden brown. Immediately transfer cookies with a spatula to a cool flat surface.

Red Lobster's Dungeness Crab Bisque Recipe:

1 tablespoon onion, minced
2 tablespoons butter (or margarine)
2 tablespoons flour
2 cups chicken broth
2 cups half-and-half
1 pound Alaska Dungeness crab meat, thawed if necessary
Salt, to taste
Chopped fresh parsley

1. Saute onion in butter. Add flour; cook and stir 1 minute. Gradually stir in chicken broth and half-and-half; cook and stir 5 minutes.

2. Break crab into chunks; add to broth. Salt to taste. Heat thoroughly. Garnish with parsley.
